Rare Hlitner Posted February 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2013 For me, neither "excursion" would be preferable since I truly dislike "excursions." But if I had to choose between the two places Les Baux would be our quick favorite. That being said, Les Baux is quite a distance from the port (either Marseille or Toulons) so if you are paying for an excursion we would hope they would visit at least 1 or 2 other places. hubofhockey Posted February 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2013 Agree with Hank on this one and I pretty much asked him the same question (Callanques in Cassis or something else) on these boards a couple of years ago and got his same advice. I am glad I took it. We ended up combining Les Baux with Arles and the Pont du Gard and had a great day. We didn't do a ship excursion, but did hire a driver guide for the day at 480 euros for six people with Provence Reservation. I believe for four, it would have been 420 euros. Colorado Kat Posted February 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I would choose Les Baux. Love the hilltop ruins!
