Need info on a Europen combination river/land tour

I want to do a European river cruise, my hubby wants to do a land tour. He thinks he will see more of the country and various cities, with as many countries as possible. I know I can not stand riding around on a bus all day for a week. Does anyone know if there is a river/land combo from any of the tour agencies?

I want to do the Rhine or Danube cruise. HELP:confused:
