Lsimon Posted February 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2013 The ice cream station mentioned above is your best bet, but I've also seen soft serve ice cream machines at the mast bar (hamburger grill outdoors by the pool area) on at least some of the S class ships. maitlandmom Posted February 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2013 The ice cream in the Oceanview is GREAT. The flavors change daily and are handmade. You really have to walk a lot of stairs to work it off.
dln929 Posted February 19, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Don't wait until too late in the evening to get your ice cream at the Oceanview Cafe. They tend to close shop earlier than the other food stations. And trust me, it's so good that you don't want to miss out! There are standard flavors and then there are new ones as it's a pretty good bet that the ice cream you see on your menu in the MDR at dinner will show up the next day in the Oceanview Cafe. The chefs very considerately make enough to share. :D:D

jaybird from SC Posted February 19, 2013 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Celebrity's "homemade" ice creams are great. Flavors change from day to day. We loved the cinnamon flavor.

jt58203 Posted February 19, 2013 #15 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Not sure if things have changed over the years, but when we were on Solstice in 2009 at any given time they had 8-12 different flavors of ice cream. My favorite was "After Eight." I'm hoping the Reflection has a big selection too!
dln929 Posted February 19, 2013 #16 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Is the gelato at the Cafe gratis? Thanks! As said, not free, but not expensive either. I think it's $3 for a small scoop which is what you'd pay on land.

Gig103 Posted February 19, 2013 #18 Share Posted February 19, 2013 If you see a flavor you like, at the gelateria or in the Oceanview, don't skip it, because the selection varies daily. I missed my chance to get some hazelnut gelato :(
