Hi, Planning a Riviera cruise in October. Wondering about bringing wine, spirits for consumption on balcony. Is this allowed. Thanks

Yes, you can bring as much as you want on board as long as you consume it in your cabin or on your balcony..you can even order munchies from room service to go along with it..not like other cruise lines whare you have to hide it or pour it in a water bottle to bring it on board..been there done that, didnt like it..LOL..

Enjoy and you will love O!!

One other thing you can also bring your wine to any of the dining venues and pay a one-time corkage fee. If you don't think the whole bottle that evening they will keep for you and you can drink another evening. They can bring the wine to any of the restaurants regardless of where you first opened.

Hidden on the Oceania website under Guest Services (right at the top of the web page, on the left of the language selector), there is a handy FAQ which says this about bringing alcohol on board:

Q: Can I purchase bottles of wine at ports of call and bring them onboard?

A: Guests wishing to purchase wine in a port of call and bring it onboard with them may do so, limited to three (3) bottles per stateroom. Guests are welcome to enjoy their wine in the comfort and privacy of their stateroom or suite, or, if they prefer, may enjoy their wine in one of the ship's dining rooms. Any wine consumed in the dining room or a public area will be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00 per bottle.

Gosh, FDR, I wish the label Guest Services could be changed so that guests could understand what a valuable information resource is available on the Oceania website! Perhaps, FAQ /Guest Services?
