The definitive Cheers program Thread

Non-alcoholic drinks do not count, but I agree I don't know why you would do it.

The only reason I could think of is if you wanted to give the virgin drink to a minor. Of course, that would be violating the rules due to the restriction against sharing.

So a regular' date=' alcoholic piña colada can be ordered using the cheers program? Anyone know the cost? Is it under the $10 limit?[/quote']

Yes it can. Just got off conquest 5/19 and myself and multiple people in my group had cheers and it covered all the frozen alcoholic drinks we wanted!!

Yes it can be ordered, I'm not sure of the cost but 99% of the drinks were under $10

You're right. My bad. Still don't know why you'd do it.

I think after reading their second post, they thought a piña colada was more than the $10 limit. So if they ordered a virgin one it would be less, then order a shot and put it in. Just a guess tho

Ok I have a question regarding the drinks at the Red Frog Rum Bar, most of the frozen drinks like Pina Colada are listed at $7.25 plus $2.00 for a floater which brings the price to $9.25, would that be covered since it is under $10.00 if no Can you purchase the floater separate without using cheers? it would be a waste for $2.00 since it is a floater not really a shot. Thanks

I had the exact same question before our Breeze cruise in January and in the fine print it states that floaters are not included in the Cheers program. You can always order another shot to add to your drink, but then it uses up two of your drinks for the day. Just pick a drink that has multiple shots in it. The Red Frog Pub has many great choices, some that the Red Frog Rum Bar does not. The Rum Bar is located poolside, the Pub is only on certain ships.

Thanks, I was afraid of that, to bad I really like Pina's with a floater, and I suppose you can't charge the $2 to your sail and sign either right?

I received an email from my PVP about the cheers program. I asked him for the Magic price specifically, and since it says only available the 2nd day how it works. Will it be 42.95 or 49.95 and for 6 days or 7? Anyone sailed lately on the Magic and know this answer? He didn't.

Saw a post from john h yesterday he said it is now 49.95 on all ships except the sunshine and legend, and I believe you can purchase it on either they first day or second day, he also said they are still testing the program and things may change

I would think you can charge the floater since it's not included in the program. The pina colada is covered, then you pay the extra $2.

What if you like the drink of the days (not that they have those anymore, but hopefully you know what I'm referring to). I am so confused on if we should do this. We have a seven day cruise but four ports, and if HMC isn't included I'm just not sure what to do.

They still have DODs, you just don't have to pay extra for the hurricane glass anymore. Since they are under $10 you can get them on the program.

I think it's ridiculous that it went up and they still cut you off at 15.... I mean RCI has it and from the looks of it theirs is truly unlimited. Hopefully that'll be their next change. I just don't see how people who are paying full price the whole time can drink upwards of 20-30 drinks a day with no cutoff and from what I've heard they actually CUT you off at 15 now and you aren't to buy anymore. :):p

Thanks to all of you who have contributed good info to this thread! I appreciate the patience a few of you have shown in answering the same questions over and over multiple times even though the info was already clearly stated in earlier posts. ;) It took me two days, but I finally got all the way through it and have no questions! We're not booked yet but won't be cruising until next year and I hope the Cheers program is still around then.

Really enjoyed Cheers on our Dream cruise in April. Did.well on it especially with the NA fruity drinks for kids that weren't on 15 limit. Now that its $120 a day for my wife and I, I just don't see the value. It might not be worth it on our Feb. Breeze cruise, especially at.8 days worth. Definitely on the fence now.

While it's true that the virgin drinks do not count against the 15 drink limit, there is strictly no sharing of drinks!

All the bartenders knew exactly who the NA drinks were for...My kids were with me when I handed it to them at the bar. No questions were ever asked...ever. They would even split Crown royal and OJ for me in the evening so I could have a double CR and Coke while my daughter drank the OJ at the bar (because apparently Orange Juice by itself wasn't allowed)

That was the bartenders suggestion BTW when I asked for an OJ for my daughter and was told that technically fruit juice by itself wasn't part of Cheers...He said go get your wife's card and order two drinks....he brought me a double size glass of Coke and Crown Royal and an extra single shot of Crown Royal and a clean glass of OJ for my daughter and handed it to her. I poured the second shot of CR into my glass...Everyone gets what they want. Remember...bartenders idea, not mine!

No one ever questioned me once... I didn't think I was ever breaking any rules.

Like I said the only thing they stuck to was waiting 5 minutes and that I couldn't get fruit juice on it's own. Even at dinner they would bring soda for the kids and wine for my wife and I every night without a single concern (they brought the wine 5 minutes after the soda)...They never questioned us there either, not once...not ever.

When I purchased the program on the first day if I specifically asked that if I ordered NA drinks for my "kids" would they count towards the 15 limit...The answer was that only alcoholic drinks counted towards the 15 limit and that virgin drinks and sodas were unlimited... They didn't say you can't share with your kids.

It was never even implied...never...that I was breaking the rules.
