Questions about Disembarking in Vancouver

This is my first time cruising, so I have lots of questions.

My family and I (3 adults, 2 seniors, 2 children) are cruising on the Sapphire in July from Whittier to Vancouver. Our flight home is at 7pm.

What time will we get off the ship?

What time should we check in for our flight back to the States?

I want to do a dim sum lunch in Richmond. However, I'm trying to figure out if we have time to sightsee a bit before lunch. Or afterwards. Trying to figure out how much time I have in Vancouver.

Any suggestions?

We all (except the youngest child) have been to Vancouver before, so it's not a major priority to see the sights in Vancouver. Only if it's convenient to our lunch plans!

You will likely disembark between 7 - 9 am. Just jump onto the Skytrain (one block from Canada Place - likely the pier u will dock at) and get off in Richmond (1/2 hour trip).

Have lunch, shop, whatever and then grab a short cab ride to the airport - if u plan to arrive at the airport around 4:00 that should give u plenty of time. Enjoy your day!

That'll give us quite a bit of time in Vancouver - looks like we'll have about 8 hours. Maybe we'll find something to do in Vancouver before heading down to Richmond for lunch.

Thanks for the reply!

We were in the last group to disembark, and we were off and through Customs by about 10:30/10:45 AM. Disembarkation started at about 7:00 AM. You'll have plenty of time. The airport does get progressively busier as the day goes on, so we opted to arrive early for our flight and beat the crowds. It was much more relaxing for us that way. Have fun! Alaska is spectacular!

Keep in mind that you will have to manage all of your luggage as well during your day in Vancouver. May not be easy with the group you describe, even if they are light packers.

Is there luggage storage available near the cruise ship pier??

Taxi fare from Canada Place to Richmond is around $40 + tips

Bus fare from Vancouver to Richmond, hop on and hop off for 90min

http://www.translink.ca

A/ 1 zone: adult $2.75. concession age 5-13, seniors 65+ $1.75

B/ Day pass: adult $9.75, concession $7.50 (may need to get from 7-11 at YVR beforehand )

With all the luggage, its better to:
