Temperature in MDR?

I understand this is a very general question but do you find the MDRs on the Carnival ships are usually a comfortable temperature or are they chilly?

It's a big area, and if you are seated near a vent it might be drafty. If you are prepared for it to be drafty, you will be ok if it isn't.

I think it is just right but if you were to ask my wife, she would say they are chilly. Depends on the individual. If you dress with a light sweater assuming it will be chilly, you will be fine weather it is cool or just right. Enjoy.

Chilly. And I'm NOT an "always cold" kind of person. I need at least to be wearing a top with sleeves. Otherwise need some kind of wrap.

I always take a wrap or a sweater. I hate being cold and I'd rather carry something I didn't use, than not have it and freeze.

I always have a sweater over my shoulders and may wear it in the MDR.

 

The areas I find very cold are the theater & casino.

I have found the dining room to be cool as most restaurants and carry a pashmina to cover my arms.

As to the poster that stated his/her food was as cold as the room. Why??

It`s not just Carnival but most cruise lines MDRs are cool, just bring a shawl/sweater to cover your arms and you will be ok.

I usually take a black or white cardigan, blazer or wrap- you know the kind that goes with "most" things. It works well for MDR or lounges, which can sometimes be a little chilly. Also, if you are out on deck at night it can sometimes be chilly, especially if its breezy. It does not take up much room.

We all need to be saying something if the food is tepid or cold. For my last 3 cruises I said something the first night before they took my order theat I've had problems with food temps. Everything after that was fine. Now if they could only go back to cold salads...
