Rare Coral Posted June 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2005 If you want to use wireless - it is available in the atrium. You will purchase 30 minute blocks for $10.50. Internet can be anywhere from not existent, incredibly slow, slow or somewhat fast all within the same day......... If you want to use a web based email - you can use their computers for .35/minute - chargable by the minute (as opposed to blocks). There is no availability in the cabins. Splinter Posted June 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2005 Just keep in mind that this on-ship internet access is satelitte based, and incredibly slow (slower than dial up ashore) so you will eat up minutes very fast. In Alaska you should take your laptop ashore and look for hotspots near the ship, or use an internet cafe, which are common in the port areas. This will save you some time and money. There is often a wait for the internet stations in the internet cafe when you are at sea.
