Carnival New Sale

Carnival has a new sale going on right now. Friends and family past guest sale.

We are sailing on the Valor.

3 questions:

1 - we are currently book on the resident rate, which is no longer available. But switching to the new past guest one will save us about $50pp. Would it be worth our TA's time to re-book us under this new rate? Would you think there may be more price drops under this new rate?

2- we have 5 cabins booked, one cabin is a non-past guest. Do you think they would be able to take advantage of this sale as the rest of us are P.G. I think the new sale would put us on different decks. Right now we have 5 cabins on the Riviera deck, but the new rates I think would bump us up to the main deck.

3- the main deck is right under the lobby deck and the dining room and main showroom is righ above. Are we going to have approblem with noise from above.

Thanks very much,

1. Impossible to predict future prices, its a roll of the dice. Its also why we book Early Saver, and accept the restirctions of it.

2. Someone in the cabin has to be a past guest to get the rate, not just someone in the group.

3. Our preference is decks with cabins above and below

ok thanks Deedle,

that is kind of what I was thinking.

Would you know if this "sale (friends and family)" has any price drop protection to it???

My resident had, and I got about 3 drops over the last several weeks, now that rate is no longer shoiwng as available, only the new "sale" rate of friends and family.

If you rebook - you could switch people around so past guest in all rooms then switch rooms once on board. People do this all the time.

thanks arpie - that sounds like a good idea.

still making myself CRAZY over this new price change. We are still trying to get 5 cabins (3 OV and 2 int) close together under this new rate.
