Nekotink Posted March 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Has anyone any insight into going golfing in St Kitts? How far is it to the Royal St Kitts course and any tips about taxis service to the golf course? I've looked at the ship's excursion, but am wondering if it's possible to arrange a tee time on my own. And any info on the course itself would be appreciated.:)
paul58 Posted March 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2013 It is about 15 min from the pier to the golf course. The toll free number is 1-866-STK-GOLF.

apollo1950 Posted April 15, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2013 My wife and I first played there while on a cruise. We liked it so much, we rented a three bedroom villa that overlooks the course last April. Excellent condition and very senic. Up to twelve days in advance, you can get a discounted rate through EZLinks. It is almost always at 9:20 am. We booked our golf that way and saved a lot.:)
Nekotink Posted April 17, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Thanks for the info. I will check out EZlinks and it sounds like you had a good experience with them and the course. I've been trying to decide between getting a tee time on my own or whether to go through the ship's excursion. I would hate to rely on the ship excursion and then they cancel it due to low interest. Perhaps it would be better to book on my own and find my own transportation to the course. Any opinions?
apollo1950 Posted April 17, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2013 I don't think the ship would cancel the golf excursion. It doesn't take much effort from them to put it together. Just transportation to & from the course. We booked ourselves and ended up playing with some people from the ship. We just had to get our own transportation. We always bring our own clubs and didn't have to rent equipment. If you get your own transportation, I recommend Winston Bass. His van has "Mr. Wab" painted on it. Very reliable and very nice. You can also walk or get a golf course attendant to cart you over to the Casino if you have time.
skiiergirl Posted April 24, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 24, 2013 We have played it several times and will be playing it later this week. I'm not sure what your cruise line price is but for RCCL it is actually a little bit cheaper to book through the ship than to book independently and pay for transportation if there are only a couple of you. (might be cheaper if a group of you to share transportation costs). I don't know about Ezlinks pricing, etc though. We always take our clubs so don't pay the rental. apollo1950 Posted April 24, 2013 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2013 The EZlinks rate at present is $100 for Green Fees & cart, tax included. They have one tee time available each day for 2 to 4 players. You can't get a single unless someone books a twosome or threesome first. This site also has St. Lucia Golf Club if your ship is going there. Fees are $64 at 9:30 am. Nice course also.
