August crowds

Hi all

 

My husband and I are looking into taking a 6 day med cruise on the ruby princess at the end of August. It stops in Rome, santorini, Mykonos, Athens and Turkey.

 

I know it will be hot and we can handle the heat... But what about the crowds? Will they likely be unbearable? Will we be able to sit on a beach or in a restaurant,or will it just be swarmed with tourists?

It will be busy. Whether or not the crowds are unbearable is totally personal. We went to all of those, and many more, in August 2010. Crowds didn't impact our enjoyed one bit.

We did the Med in August, knowing full well that it would be both hot and busy. Neither was unbearable for us.

We did a Med Cruise in August of 2011 - the weather was amazing, not a cloud in the sky for 12 days. It was very busy everywhere, especially at the Acropolis, but not unbearable, and we enjoyed the warm weather.

 

Santorini on a blue sky day is the most spectacular place you will ever see...

It will be crowded but I am sure you will have a great time.
