Cabin 11007

Have booked this on Marina and it looks to be unaffected by anything communal above.

Has anybody any experience of this particular PH2

We were in 11007 on a 15-day cruise last September from London to Barcelona and in its mirror cousin on the port side, 11006, on a cruise in September 2011 from Venice to Istanbul. Some folks don't like the overhang of deck 12, but we had no issues with that, particularly on the first cruise when we had very hot weather in most places and used our veranda almost every day. At night, the exterior lights on the ship do reflect from that overhang so you would not have much of a view of the night sky, if that is important.

The penthouse suites are fantastic, with their size, decor and layout! The forward suites on deck 11, like 11007 and 11006, are under the Oceania suites and we never heard anything from above on either cruise. Our room staff and butler (particularly on the second cruise) were absolutely wonderful. You are far enough forward, however (and high enough) that you will get more motion if the seas are a little rough. But you are also quite close to the pool deck and not far from the forward elevators and stairs.

I recommend that suite without hesitation and did want you to know the minor issues (deck 12 overhang, no real night sky view, more motion).

That looks like a great location. We just got off Marina in Papeete, 24 days in 11071. As others have said, the deck overhang from Deck 12 is no big deal. Our PH2 was under a corner of the Terrace Cafe, and while it was delightful most of the time, about 5 a.m. it sounded like someone was bowling right overhead.
