Full fare for kids??

Does anyone know Princess's policy re charging for toddlers as the second passenger in a cabin? Is it at full fare or at a discounted fare? Thanks!

Full fare.

 

I often have a cabin as a single and I pay @ 80% of the 2nd passenger rate even though I'm only one person in the cabin.

I have only received a discount on pass #3 and #4.

I cruise with my 10 year old and pay full fare. I don't know about toddlers... I imagine that it would be full fare also.

Full fare unless they are the 3rd or 4th passenger in the room. They are also expected to pay the $10 per person per day tip..

Most cabins are quite a bit smaller than the average hotel room. Not all cabins have berths for four people, so you might have to book fairly early to get one. The bathrooms are very small unless you choose a minisuite.

On a 7 day Caribbean cruise on the CB, 3rd/4th person brochure fare is $199 for interior, $299 for oceanview, $399 for balcony and $499 for a mini-suite.

It's not a percentage - it is a published number which varie with the season - and - it increases as you go from an inside to an outside to a balcony to a suite - the minimums are listed in the princess brochures. For a 7 day they are 199, 299, 399 and 499 respectively. A standard would be tight with older kids. You may want to go with two rooms.

My grandchild will be born in August and we have already booked the baby on a cruise on the Crown Princess next June. This baby will be 9 months old at the time and is costing me $825 as a third person. The 1st and 2nd person rate is $1,450 for an inside room. Not sure what percentage the discount is but I still think it's high for a 9 month old. But it's only money.

Thanks for the info. My husband and I are doing our first cruise in July so we'll be able to see the standard room then. What about a mini-suite. Would they accomodate a family of 4 easily?

Yes. Some mini's have 2 pull down bunks from the ceiling
