The menu choice on our recent cruise was poor for desserts, the quality was ok but choice was the main issue

 

The dessert menus are limited, but ask and ye shall receive. I often ask for off-menu desserts and nearly always accomodated.

I rarely have desert, so should be OK. Has anyone tried afternoon tea recently? Is it still offered. It was highlight of the trip for my grandma last time.

The afternoon tea is alive and well! Very nicely done and lots of yummy goodies!

Reading the reviews in preparation for my upcoming cruise and getting worried. We have not been on Princess Cruise for 2 yrs now and I remember enjoying the food last time we sailed (same ship, April 2011). Did it change that drastically from my memories?

 

Can someone who sailed around 2011 and recently please weigh in?

 

I was on the 20 day Transatlantic from Venice in December and the 7 day Western Caribbean before the transatlantic to Southampton. The transatlantic they will mix up the menu and you will get entrees like a Carmalized BBQ strip Steak and Pork Bellies. I went to the Crown Grill in December and it was very good. this time on April 6th the food just was not what I expect from Princess. The rib eye I ordered at Crown Grill was just a steak they serve in the dining room. The fruit just did not have much taste and with Princess not serving lunch in Dining room on port days I had a hard finding something I really wanted to put on my plate at the Buffet. i always bragged how their food was better than RCL.

 

Maybe I am the only one but I was disappointed.
