B2B Questions

You do not need to board together.

Your DH can board when he arrives..... he should have his boarding pass and ID. He also will have to indicate what credit card for his onboard charges.

Can't say for Carnival but on HAL, he can do that at the front office after he boards if that works better for him/you.[/quote

Thanks, Sail. Just added on this five day and have never done a B2B before. 12 days on Carnival in July! Go big or go home :o. Crazy cheap prices so- going for it!!

Back-to-back cruises are great.

Our first cruise was a back-to-back. We have done many of them of them over the years.

Most US ports do require that you get off the ship at the end of the first segment and go through immigration. We had an exception one time in Ft Lauderdale when were there were around 500 of us staying on for the next cruise. The immigration officials said it would be better if we stayed on the ship and they checked us in the show lounge. Knowing that others would be arriving at the terminal while we were waiting to get back on the ship would have created a big mess with so many people in the terminal.

You will get a letter the last day of the first cruise indicating what the procedure will be for Intransit day. You are usually the last ones off the ship. No one can get back on until the ship is down to "zero" count.

We always book cruises months in advance so that we can get the same cabin.

Savings?? Little if nothing.

We always book cruises where the second itinerary is mostly different from the first one.

We are doing a back to back on the breeze in September. The first is an Eastern Carribean, and the second is a southern...we only visit two of the same ports which is grand turk but I love that port anyway so I'm excited....we had the same cabin booked but there was an amazing upgrade so for the second leg we upgraded...we are booked through carnival and they told us someone would come take our things from the first cabin to the second cabin. they also made us aware of having to leave the ship and then be escorted back on.

The only time we changed cabins, Princess personnel came and moved all our things to the new cabin.
