St Petersburg 2 day Tour

Recommended Posts

We used Alla Tours for our 2 days in St Petersburg. The 2 days were superb and we saw/did much more than the ship's tour....for less money.

As varoo suggestd......go to the Baltics section and read what others have said. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at all the great recommendations for private tours.

If you want to check out Alla Tours here's a link.

We chose booking with Royal over a private company mainly because we did not want to get a Visa. We really enjoyed our excursions.

There are several companies in Russia (Alla Tour is one of them) where you do not need a visa to enjoy an excursion. As long as you have the excursion paperwork, it serves as your 'papers'.

Agree we used Alla and they were fantastic. You don't need a visa if you use a registered tour company.

We used TJ Travel...AMAZING...they took care of everything all we had to do was walk off the ship and the guide & driver wisked us away..All paper work we needed was emailed to us..Couldn't have been easier, and no payment until the 2nd day of our private tour. We had a private 2 day active tour with just the two of us at a cost of much less than what the ship offered :D

We joined a small group tour with some folks we met on our meet-and-mingle for our cruise. there were 13 of us on a small bus with our own driver and our own guide. Much nicer than the 40+ on the coach buses that the cruise line uses.

We could tailor our itinerary. We by-passed most lines. The driver would drop us off at the door and pick us up there as well. It was great.

We used SPB tours andit was price competitive (when divided by 13).
