How much before do I have to be at the airport for flight from Paris to Rome?

At least this is an intra-Schengen flight, so you don't have to worry about padding the time for passport control. But, CDG can be a nightmare to navigate. If you aren't familiar with CDG, I'd do the 2.5 hours. If you get through fast, there are a couple of wine bars...

Which airline? That has a bearing on which terminal/subterminal you have to get to.

Well, Girl Scout ;)

I've always been one to get to the airport early, even back in the good old pre-TSA days. I like wandering around the stores, watching planes, people. Now that I'm "older", I can indulge in a few adult beverages. I have membership in a few of the airline clubs, so I can always hide out there, watch TV, read, have some snacks, do email.

In 3 weeks, I've got a flight home from CDG. I'm staying at the Sheraton inside the airport the night before. No worries about not getting there in enough time!!!
