Skipper99 Posted April 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2013 I have traveled on Windstar several times, but now I am considering going solo, and my only concern is Dinner. Do they seat you with others, and are there likely to be other solo travelers? I would appreciate any comments from those who have traveled on Windstar solo, or those who have dined with solo travelers. Many thanks. Kathy816 Posted April 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2013 We were recently on Windsurf in the Caribbean and there were several solo travelers. One in particular, an older lady, made several friends who were often looking out for her at meals and around the ship (us included), and she seemed to have someone to sit with at most meals (breakfast and lunch too). The dining room stewards made sure she had a group to sit with for dinner. She seemed to have a great time.
Katbird93 Posted April 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2013 When we cruised 2 years ago, there was a gentleman cruising alone. There was a group of us that met on the ship and most evenings he dined with us or other friends he had made. Go and enjoy!
Skipper99 Posted April 23, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Thanks so much for the feedback. It sounds like it will be just fine.
ducklite Posted April 30, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2013 We had two solo cruisers on our cruise last year. Sometimes they were seated with others (one very often with us) and other times they sat alone. They both seemed quite comfortable with either arrangement.
