Mosquitoes in Venice in early July?

Hi. Some folks on our cruise are wondering about the mosquito situation in Venice in early July. We have an overnight stay, so many of us will be outdoors at dusk, and I know in our hot/humid state, that's when they are at their worst, so we wanted to get an idea as to what to expect in Venice. I know some cities locally will spray and don't have a mosquito problem, so we were curious about your experiences in Venice with mosquitoes.

I have never seen a mosquito problem posted yet other than rumors that so and so heard from someone etc.Not to say there aren't any and any time, but you should be just fine. If you are concerned just take a few Off wipes with you.
