Ship visits

Hi we received an invitation from a TA to visit the Marina for a tour and lunch when she is in our home town. We haven't yet been on an Oceania cruise so are considering going. Has anyone done this and do you think it's worth doing or is it just a hard sell from the TA or Oceania? There is a charge for this.

Your comments would be much appreciated.

We've done the tour, lunch thing 3 times, and if you are considering the ship it could be to your benefit to see what it has to offer. It is not a hard sell and we have always gotten a discount certificate for a future cruise. We have NEVER paid for this lunch nor should you.

Thank you for your reply. I was surprised that we had to pay. We were invited to lunch on Regent a couple of years ago, unfortunately we couldn't go but there was no charge at that time. We are in the UK so perhaps its different here or perhaps its the TA!
