Theodorable Posted June 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2005 I posted a message the other day about the difference in balcony sizes between the 2c's on the Penthouse deck of the Summit. One or two people replied that their TA's or even the Captain's Club could not verify that some balconies were bigger than others. Anyway, as the Infinity was in Vancouver today we decided to take some pictures to prove the anomolies. So, I hope that you find these pictures helpful in making your choice of cabin. I put the stateroom numbers on one of the photos for your reference Nicola http://community.webshots.com/album/373703105pTDiwq
mjceditor Posted June 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Nicola Thank you for your time and effort. As the Chinese proverb says, 1 picture is worth a 1000 words. After looking at your pictures I am glad I changed cabins, we are now in 6035 on our Mexico cruise.
Rare Germancruiser Posted June 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Hi Nicole thanks for you pictures, they will help me book my next cruise. Great done! My last C - Cruise ended on June 2. in Vancouver- Summit Alaksa. So I remember very well.. LOL! Greetings Mike
Bruin Steve Posted June 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Yeah...We had #6035 on the Constellation back in MArch...and I can sure vouch for that bigger balcony firsthand... Those photos aren't trick photography... The funny thing is that so many people rely on the published deck plans in the brochures and on the Celebrity website...and they are simply incorrect and "not to scale"... Theodorable Posted June 20, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I am very happy that you like the photos. I must admit that I am very very excited about going on the Summit in December. During the summer she is in at Canada Place every second week and as I work at PricewaterhouseCoopers Place which is only about 100 meters from the dock I get to see her lots. I do drive my poor husband nuts thought.... I have to take him with me to see the ship every second week!!! Nic
greydog Posted June 20, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2005 We're going to reserve a couple of those 'special' cabins tomorrow for Summit June 3 to Seward and we're doing our first cruisetour to Fairbanks. Thanks for the 'heads up' on those cabins.
jaynak Posted June 20, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Great shots Nicola- the best I've seen... here is a picture of 6018's balcony from the inside. (see 6018 loungers) - I hope you won't mind - I've added a couple of your pics to my 6018 collection. You certainly had the perfect vantage point for capturing the proof!! AFT_LOVER Posted June 20, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I saved this when we were booking 2C category staterooms before CC: 2C- 6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,6026,6027,6029,6030,6031, 6033,6035,6053,6048
greydog Posted June 20, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Downside of these particular balcony cabins - primo "front-seat" location for a "rogue wave" bad-hair day. Well, no guts - no glory - no breadsticks.
Longboysfan Posted June 20, 2005 #10 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Thanks... Something to keep in mind. I still like the sizes of the AFT balconies....

emcee207 Posted June 20, 2005 #12 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Nicola, Thanks for the pics. Wish you had gone a little more mid ship as we have cabin 6048 on the Constellation in Dec and I know it has a nice balcony, triangular but large. But have't seen a pic of it. Anyone have one? BTW, this was a pleasant surprise as we had just booked a guarenteed 2c balcony and didn't know what we were going to end up with. Was surprised as this particular cruise (12/10/05) was booked pretty early. Louis
tuggers Posted June 20, 2005 #13 Share Posted June 20, 2005 we used to have a thread on here that listed all the good cabins on each ship, told which had larger balconies and other things that made them better. I have no idea how to find it but maybe someone else will. I used to refer to it when booking!
zackiedawg Posted June 20, 2005 #14 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Well...I could have told you those balconies were larger! I was on the Summit in November in 9030, and looked down on those balconies every day. Of course, I had wondered what class of cabin those were! Thanks for the inside info...I'll definately mark that one down for the next time I'm booking on a Millenium-class.
ejhall Posted June 20, 2005 #15 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I'm not sure I understand...which category are the 2c's balconies bigger than? Are all 2c balconies the same size? If anyone can clear this up for me I'd appreciate it!
zackiedawg Posted June 20, 2005 #16 Share Posted June 20, 2005 EJHall, What they are pointing out is that these cabins are Category 2c...however, those particular 2C cabins up front have bigger balconies than all the other 2cs around the ship. You wouldn't know it from the deck plans, but in reality those Penthouse deck cabins up front have more balcony.

If you click my webshots album, there are TONS of photos of the Summit. We were on Deck 6, but our friends were in a CC on deck 9 and there are shots of that also. Have a great cruise! LMKohler Posted June 20, 2005 #18 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Emcee -- we had the same cabin on Summit you are getting on Constellation, but one deck up (7080) ;) . It's a great balcony and the cabin is very quiet. If you do a "search" and plug in "cabin 7080" I believe you might find the thread Tuggers was referring to. If you find the thread--it has lots of pictures attached to it. We tried to get 7080 again for our Hawaii trip, but alas, it has already been taken. Good Luck. LMKohler Posted June 20, 2005 #19 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Emcee -- the thread is dated July 31, 2004 by twoinpitt. It does have pictures of the cabin in that thread. If you plug in Cabin 7080 and then Celebrity Cruises the search engine should take you there.

stavy Posted June 20, 2005 #22 Share Posted June 20, 2005 Has anyone cruised in this cabin? I looked at some awesome photos on this page and it looks like 6018 is the end cabin. Is this a bad or good thing? Any idea if there is lots of noise or anything else that may be disruptive? Thanks for your help and for any info you can give me...:)
roadbliss Posted June 21, 2005 #23 Share Posted June 21, 2005 6018 is not the end - it is the second from the end - (in terms of Nicola's 2C balcony pictures) posted at the beginning of this thread. Although I have never been in this stateroom - I would think it a good thing. If you look at all the photos - you can see it is the middle stateroom of the three that are surrounded by the heavier metal posts... hope this is clear..and helps cheers
dileep Posted June 21, 2005 #24 Share Posted June 21, 2005 I saved this when we were booking 2C category staterooms before CC: 2C- 6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,6026,6027,6029,6030,6031, 6033,6035,6053,6048 We had 6048 last year on our Alaska Cruise and loved it! They have 2 huge balcony CC rooms toward the aft sandwiched between suites. Two more facing the back.
Bruin Steve Posted June 21, 2005 #25 Share Posted June 21, 2005 6018 isn't the "end" or even the "next to end"...There's one more 2C in front of it, then there are six more cabins...But, they're Cat 4 Window cabins--no balcony... We were in 6035 on the Constellation last cruise... As to the "list" showing several other oversized balconies on the M-Class ... beware, most of those other oversizes are only slightly larger, being somewhat wedge shaped--or having an extra triangle...Only these sixteen 2C cabins at the front of Deck Six are DOUBLE-sized among the Cat 2s... Otherwise, to get a balcony this size or larger, you need to book a more expensive aft... We had a sky suite on Summit and that balcony was smaller than the one in 6035 (of course, the cabin was a lot larger)...
