Celebrity discounted gratutities?

Has anyone else heard of this? - First time for me!

 

Just received a telephone call from my TA, who said that if I wish to pre-pay the 'Grats' on my next booking, then 'Grats' will be discounted.

 

Does this mean the staff will then suffer a loss of revenue?

 

Thoughts on this please. :confused:

Is this a Celebrity promotion, or a promotion being offered specifically by your TA? If the latter they may be paying a portion of the gratuities for you, so I doubt if would affect the crew.

I will take the discount now I know the staff will not suffer any loss and receive the full revenue.
