Dress Code for St. Patrick's in Dublin?

I have been able to find a tour that includes an interior tour of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. I toured some of Western Europe some years ago and toured several churches/cathedrals and as I remember there did not seem to be any type of dress code (I usually like to wear shorts and a tee shirt), but when touring two years ago in Italy, I always had long pants to wear to tour the interiors of the churches. Does anyone know if there is a dress code for St. Patrick's in Dublin?

There is no dress code for St Patrick's, but the guidance given to visitors to Westminster Abbey seems apposite.

 

''There is no specific dress code for the Abbey. For services we ask that you dress in a respectful manner, although we are aware that some people are on holiday.''
