Breakfast in Key West

Sailing on Victory on 10/24, first port,Key West at 7 am.

Anyone have any breakfast ideas off the ship??

If this is your first visit to Key West you should make it to Blue Heaven at the corner of Thomas and Petronia Sts and have breakfast outdoors with the chickens and cats.

 

They open at 0800.

 

If you love benedicts, they have the best. Lobster, shrimp, filet or the traditional.

I second Blue Heaven! Fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere.

We went to The Six Toed Cat which is right beside Hemingway House and handy to the trolley stop. The lobster benedict was wonderful.

Pepe's is one of my faves and has an excellent breakfast as well as fresh-squeezed juices, Bloody Mary's, and margaritas. Blue Heaven is also a great spot.

If your first stop is on a Sat or Sun, Columbian Grace, just past Blue Heaven, opens at nine. Food's better and no lines...

 

 

Try the shrimp-filled omelet. Did I mention free red or white Sangria with breakfast?

I love Blue Heaven for breakfast but it can be very busy and expect to wait. IMHO it's worth it. :). I will be there in about three months. I love KW. :)

Great advice given so far. Add one more vote for Blue Heaven. Simply put, they are the best breakfast spot in Key West.

 

Another good option is Pepe's on Caroline St.

Sarabeth's and the Banana Cafe are also good breakfast options! I wish we tried Blue Heaven for breakfast last time - had dinner there and it was great!

May I ask where you read that? Just curious as I didn't realize that this information was out yet.

 

Colombian Grace is closing and a new restaurant "Firefly" will be opening in that location hopefully by late October.

I have seen people eat at the bar on several occasions; but not sure if there is an official policy.
