Difference between A2 and A1 on Summit

and the answer is NOT 1....

 

is it worth an additonal $100 pp to be in one of the newer, A1 cabins on summit?

 

It looks like the A1's are the same size and layout as the A2 cabins, but they are on the sky deck.

Only if you can get a cabin on the aft. We have sailed in both and for us it was rather inconvenient being on deck 11. Some may like that the balconies are more open but it was always too windy on deck 11 to enjoy sitting out there. There is about a 2 ft overhang above the balcony. Not much protection from the elements.

 

As for being new they are new but designed like the old and the cabins are the same size.
