Bermuda question

Hi all,

I have a question that may already have been answered. I read in CC last week or so ago, that Bermuda has entered into a deal with the various cruise lines that visit the port, to have the casino and night life open during the stay. Can anyone confirm this or point me into the direction where I can get the "official" word. Thanks again for all your help! John

It passed the house in Bermuda last week but there is a large outcry from opposition members that it did not have proper public input and they want it revoted on. Time will tell, as of now it passed but not sure what the future will be or the timeline. Not sure I can completely trust this web site but here is what they said: http://www.mediaman.com.au/articles/cruise_ships.html

The article says, Premier and Tourism Minister Ewart Brown announced the decision.........

Ewart Brown has not been in power since 2010.

And the United Bermuda Party doesn't exist any more either.

This article is very old, even if it is genuine (which I can't remember) - there are no plans right now to allow gambling on cruise ships in port at Bermuda.

If you follow the link provided and place the cursor over the page and right click then select View Page Info from the drop down menu, it has a modified date of October 31, 2009 which I hope refers to the article.
