Boarding on Carnival Valor

Anyone just back from southern Caribbean leg on Carnival Valor....what is the earliest they let you start boarding?? Doc's say 2:30pm really hoping we can get on earlier then that.

We are planning to drop off rental car at 10:00 and shuttling from there to the port. My plan is to be there by 11:00 at the latest.

My flight gets in at 11a.m. and we'll be going straight to the ship from the airport...I see your sailing this month so maybe you can let me know when you come back if there were any delays or if they weren't allowing early check-in.

We were onboard by 11:30 AM, but they told us that was early.

We sailed on July 28th and they started letting people in at 11:00 to check in. Not sure what time we actually boarded but it was pretty quick everywhere. Check in lines went really fast and we had boarding group 2. I think they might have started boarding at about 11:45.

Good to know. I'm staying at the Sheraton and checkout is 11. I hope to drag my bags across the street and board fairly quickly. I'm Platinum so should be first on (unless there are weddings).

 

Then I can drop my carryon in the cabin and head back out to do some more exploring.

Oh thats good to hear....we plan to do the same. Drop off the bags and then head back to hit CVS for water, wine, & soda.

Thanks. I've got a short cruise before my San Juan cruise, and I'm not actually on Valor. I'm on the 2nd leg of the Conquest repositioning cruise and plan on writing a pretty detailed review when I return.

 

I'm sailing solo and want to check in as early as I can to drop off that heavy carry-on (you know that one bottle of wine ends up feeling like it weighs 30 pounds!). :p

 

And, yes, being able to re-board with another carryon bottle will be useful.

 

I love San Juan. Can't wait to return!

fFTF was not an option on Valor in April. Guess they've added it now?

We arrived early and were onboard by 11:30.
