Stopping in Colon. Do we need "shots"?

Are any "shots" recommended when traveling to Colon, Panama?

Follow the cruise line's advice and don't wander around Colon on your own, or the "shots" you'll need to worry about won't be those in your arm!! Just kidding . . . well, kinda kidding. Even taking a tour in the rain forest or going up to the Authentic Embera Village in Chagres National Park, you don't need any special shots or, God forbid, malaria pills. You'll have a great time!
