Bibble Posted August 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2013 We will be on a Carnival excursion and brought back to the tender port. We will have 1 hour before we have to be on the last tender. Is there any quick souvenir shopping around there? I believe I have heard there's a Margaritaville. Is that close enough to run in for a drink before heading to ship? Any help would be appreciated! We leave Sunday...
SeaBands Posted August 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2013 off to the left on the dock that sells local souveniers. Many are local crafts.
Bibble Posted August 30, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Thanks so much! I was hoping there was stuff there, but wasn't sure...
mrsfuzzmo Posted August 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2013 There are tons of stores as the dock is right smack in town. Lots of stores, and yes, you should have time for a drink at M'Ville. It's close to the docks.
wantocruisemore Posted August 30, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2013 When does the last tender leave for ship? Be sure to do a review, we will be in Caymans next month.
cb at sea Posted August 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2013 The last tender is usually 30 mins. prior to sailaway.
CDNJehn Posted August 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Tons of shops right at the port. Kiosks and vendors in and around Bayshore Mall, left of the ship when facing the water. Across the street from there is a souvenir shop, white building. There's also some shops along the street just before Bayshore. Too many to name, no need to worry. headhunterke Posted August 30, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2013 There's also a place that sells some great Hot Sauce (little building left from the tender docks when you're with your back to them), but I can't remember the name.
Bases5 Posted September 1, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2013 When does the last tender leave for ship? Be sure to do a review, we will be in Caymans next month. Just remember Cayman time and the ship's time are not always the same. You always stay on ship time but that might not be island time The cayman islands do not observe daylight savings time. Just be sure to double check the correct timing.
mrsfuzzmo Posted September 3, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 3, 2013 There are also 3 cruise terminals that your tender might use. Be sure to remember which one you get off at, as that's where you'll need to catch your tender back. They are pretty close (North and South are right near each other) but Royal Watler is about a block a way or so. I've used all three (and Spotts one unfortunately bad weather day). Bibble Posted September 9, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted September 9, 2013 We did our shopping right at the tender port, which was good, because our excursion was running a little late on the return (purchased through Carnival), so we pretty much only had time to ge tin the tender line. Didn't make it to Margaritaville :( Maybe next time!

Picture made for a different question but still useful Top tender landing is the north/large/main one. M'ville is basically across the street from the middle area; Tortuga Rum shop just north of the middle tender area and has all the rum cakes you want/need. Distance 'tween the north landing and the south landing is less than 1/4 mile . . .
