I take it with the dry weather ( I believe your in Sussex, East or West) you've had no trouble with Slugs, because the Hostas are looking great. Dickie We live 18 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, PA. When it isn't raining, I water everything. Last year we were hit with a milky spore virus that killed everyone impatients. The ground is contaminated and we can't plant impatients for at least another 4 or 5 years. The virus blew in from Virginia. This year many of us are now battling a virus that is attacking the grass. And the officials have no idea what we can do about that. When we moved into this house over 40 years ago -- we had slugs and it was a battle getting rid of them. Krazy Kruizers Posted September 4, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Yes -- that is where DH and I were born. Went to high school there. But never knew each other until we met at work. McKeesport is right next to White Oak.
Jack_Tar Posted September 4, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 4, 2013 Ah, totally wrong country, thought you were in Sussex UK, should have realised when I saw the size of your Hostas :D. The above photo show how the local council decorate our bus stops in certain areas, they also have them on railings which dived the road (central reservation) and also hanging from lamppost, quite nice really.
