Cruise Cash Question......

In the past we have bought bar vouchers, don't remember exactly what they were called. But looks like they've changed this now and its called Cruise Cash, and you can buy credits in $25 increments. So my question is.....Let's just say we buy $100 in bar credits, do they just deduct the cost of the drink from that $100 and not include gratuity??

I'm just kinda confused on how this works.

Thanks!

Cruise cash is basically non-refundable onboard credit. You lose whatever you don't use.

The bar and photo versions can only be used on bar items and photo items respectively.

Carnival gift cards are semi-refundable, if you don't use it all by the end of the cruise it's put back on the card to use in the future.

You are talking about 2 different things. Bar tickets are still available. Cruise cash is used as an on board credit, so anything you buy will be covered buy cruise cash.

Incorrect...bar coupons have not been available for some time now.

Cruise Cash can be used for anything. Cruise Cash Bar and Cruise Cash Photo can only be used for what they say...the bar or photos.

Remember...Cruise Cash, Cruise Cash Bar and Cruise Cash Photo are all NON REFUNDABLE... it is use it or lose it. If you do not use every thing then Carnival keeps the portion you did not use.

I have read that you can go to the casino on the last night and cash out to get your money back. Maybe someone will explain how to do this. There are lots of threads on it.

OK, so this clarifies alot then. But one more thing, if you are getting the cruise cash - bar, does this keep you from paying gratuity on every drink? I know with the drink coupons, I dont think you paid gratuity that way.

Thanks!!!

The answer is NO. You do have to pay the gratuity on each drink. There is no savings by buying the Cruise Cash Bar like there use to be with the bar coupons.
