Sydney - drive around Bras d'Or lake

This question is directed to Maryann ns but hopefully someone will be able to answer this question.

 

I will be in Sydney on 9/17 and am renting a car from Enterprise. Maryann had provided a google map of a drive around the Bras d'Or lakes in another thread. In looking at the map, it shows and states that there is a ferry crossing. Can someone tell me how involved this ferry crossing is. I can't find a website about it and am wondering how often the ferry operates and if there is a charge. Is there a way around the lake area that does not involve the ferry. How long should I allow for the entire trip around the Lake.

I'm only familiar with two ferries in that area. One which goes to Newfoundland which I'm assuming in NOT what you want. The other is at Little Narrows. Here is the link
