Upgrade Inquiry

I'm traveling solo on the Jewel in two weeks and got a great solo rate on an inside cabin.

 

While checking availability this weekend, I saw that it would only be $20 for me to upgrade to an outside cabin. When I called RCL, the agent stated that the rate was considered a Special Deal rate and was only available for new bookings.

 

Is there any other department that I could talk to about the possible upgrade or am I just out of luck? It would sure be nice to pay $20 to get a window and a bigger cabin!

Call again and ask another rep.

If they say no, ask to speak to resolutions. If you would be paying more (as in your case) sometimes, just sometimes, they will let you pay the extra to upgrade. They certainly do not have to agree to it so be nice, of course. It worth another shot, but try not to be too unhappy if you hear no. After all, at the worst you'll still a great rate on a solo inside cabin.
