Are any areas of the spa facility complimentary?

On other cruise lines, certain areas in the. spa are free to use for all passengers. Such as the sauna, showers, and whirlpool. Are there any free facilities in the spa on NCL ships? Or, is a spa pass required for entry into the spa area?

I've been trying to get a definitive answer on this for several months. RCI allows use of sauna, steam room and showers without charge. My SILs used the spa showers exclusively due to size and better soap/shampoo than cabin. No extra cost. But all the posts I've come across sound like a pass is required on NCL. :( Also there does not appear to be a day pass option so unless you use it every day the per day cost gets pretty high - especially on a 14nt cruise.

Most ships have the deluxe spas and they are not complimentary. Some ships, like the Sun, have smaller spas and there is no charge.

If you tell us the specific ship, we can be more helpful! :)

I am specifically interested in the Jewel. Thanks!
