Another accident of the Viking Forseti

Thanks to franski for your comments on this thread and others. I too am bothered by those who have never taken a river cruise with Viking but feel it their responsibility to trash the company. On CC Jazzbeau is not the only one with no Viking experience who likes to criticize Viking. In spite of their snarky remarks, we are excited about taking our first river cruise on Viking next year.:)

I had been a bit leary about travelling with Viking... Similar to my trepidation about travelling with Scenic after some less-than-stellar reviews here on CC. Both trips turned out great.....

 

DH and I are really "glass half full" travellers, and try to make the best of things. This is not to say that I wouldn't speak up if things that could/should be managed are NOT managed... (ie; communication about an air conditioning malfunction) but I try to look at the big picture to see if there was anyway that the cruise line could have known or prepared for the incident.

 

I am sure you will enjoy your trip with Viking next year. Things may not always go entirely as planned, but if you are prepared for the fact that there might be some "bumps" along the way, you should still find enough to make this trip enjoyable!!!

P.S. Just booked our 2nd Viking cruise .... We are doing the Elbe in 2015.
