No ES rates options with the "great" new sales

I looked at a cruise last night for June of 2014 under the "Preview" sale and have decided this is the cruise we want to take. I checked again just now, and the cruise price went up $200 total for the "National Cruise Vacation Month" sale. Neither time was there an ES rate available. Does this mean that Carnival is venturing away from the ES rate? Also, I am irritated that the cruise price went up with this great national sale.

I am thinking I may still go ahead and book it, and just keep watching for a price drop, perhaps during the Wave Season.

How much OBC under the new sale comes with the cabin category your looking at? I booked a 4J on the Breeze for 11/16/14 under the Preview sale. Today on the Cruise month promo the fare has gone up $150 but the new promo has $150 OBC. The result basically nets to zero. Just a numbers game.

ES rate is not available when they have their "great" sales.

However, when I look at a cruise I'm interested in for January 2015, ES is available.
