jan can Posted October 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2013 On the Viking Grand European Var cruise, I saw a beautifully outfitted river boat while rushing to catch a tour bus. I don't remember which stop it was because I believe this stop was one of the unscheduled ones because of high water causing a couple of detours. Back to the boat - it was eye catching because of the glittering chandeliers. There was a sign that said it was done completely with Saworski crystals. Any idea what line this might be? Possibly it only caters to Europeans customers.

caviargal Posted October 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2013 We have walked past A-Rosa boats with stunning chandeliers. Was there a rose on the side?
luvnorway Posted October 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2013 Possibly this, or one of the others in the fleet http://www.donauschiffahrt.de/en/100161854/crystal_ship.html We've seen it several times on various European riverboat cruises and it certainly is eyecatching
jan can Posted October 12, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted October 12, 2013 I'm pretty sure it was the third. It would be an experience to go on it. I love glitter.

Rare steamboats Posted October 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 13, 2013 The local excurison boat company Wurm & Köck operates two excursion boats called Kristallkönigin and Kristallprinzessin out of Regensburg and a third one called Kristallschiff out of Passau. All three of them are beautifully decorated with Swarovski crystals. steamboats
