I have a HAL credit card and want to use some points to book an excusion. How do I use the points to use against the excusion

Mary, go to your account, then select "View Rewards". On the next panel, select "Redeem Your Rewards". Then select the "Onboard Credits" and then Shore Excursions. It appears as stateroom credit on your onboard account. If you select the cruise discount, you get the credit off your HAL VISA card within 7-15 days.

As kjw said you can go on-line or you can call them. On the back of the card is a customer service number. I just redeemed alot of points and did it by phone. It was very easy to do.

You can't book your shore excursions in advance, and pay for them with points---not directly, anyway. It would be a 2-step process.

You purchase your shore excursions, and charge them to your credit card as usual. Then, you convert your points to a credit on the card, which will end up paying the excursion bill.

Or you can convert your points to on-board credit toward your excursions, and purchase them on board.
