cggurl Posted October 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2013 We'll be onboard in a few weeks (yeah!) and curious about areas that may be quiet for a peaceful outdoor nap/reading. Finding where the party is has always been easy. Are there outdoor areas that have acoustic guitar/music? We loved on another cruise line we'd sit out by the pool before dinner and really enjoyed the music. It's football season!! Where are games shown on the Jewel? Thanks!!! Rare www3traveler Posted October 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2013 (1) There is an area mid ship Deck 6 referred to as "Bar City", there are several big screen TV's in the area . (2) The Promenade Deck on Deck 7 is a great place to watch when you sail down the Mississippi River from New Orleans. Lots of loungers for reading or napping. (3) There is a stage area on Deck 12 between two small swimming pools. There is music and other activities on the stage area. Some times very loud. I hope you have a wonderful cruise. The Jewel is a wonderful ship with a wonderful staff.

Rare alrichards4003 Posted October 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2013 We were on the Jewel a couple of weeks ago. The football games were in bar city, Maltings and martini bar tv. They served popcorn during the games. When we were on it was chilly and we did not spend much time outside.
jemrtt Posted October 15, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2013 We love the "great outdoors" on deck 12. We go for late breakfast and it's usually quiet during non-peak eating times. We stay up there to read when we book an inside stateroom. We love to have quiet time when it gets too fussy we check to see if spinnaker lounge on deck 13 is empty. If so we go there.
