anandaindonesia Posted October 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2013 If you have been on Royal ship during Easter Holiday, please share your experience. Are there anything specific for the celebration? Decoration, give away or anything? Also are there more children onboard? Any special activities? Thank you for sharing. rstout Posted October 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2013 Since the Allure debarks/embarks on Sundays, Easter is a bit broken up. I am sure they have some kind of Easter service that morning. We boarded on Easter this year...I do recall some kids club type of activities related to Easter, but we didn't participate, as we were so busy checking out the ship, and I believe they were all somewhat early. There were no Easter decorations or special meals in the dining room. It was also spring break time so there were a lot of kids onboard in general, but people are distributed quite well on the Allure, so it was a nice combination of a lot of kids around for your kids to play with, but we weren't overwhelmed by the number of people/kids on board at all - it didn't feel overly crowded. cb at sea Posted October 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2013 We've sailed over Easter several times....there's always an Easter Egg hunt, and some small decorations on the dining room tables....we've never noticed if there was a service.. They acknowledge it, but don't make a big deal of it. Do be aware that some of your ports may have lots of shops and such closed for religious holidays! Rare cruiselvr04 Posted October 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2013 We have boarded on Easter. There were decorations in the windjammer with some chocolate bunnies, candy for the kids. We saw no Easter service of any kind. If you are interested before you board there is a sun rise church service on the ft Lauderdale beach across from the Bia mar doubletree hotel. It was a very special way to start a cruise. Started around 7 am which is early but so worth it to see the sun come up behind the cross on the beach.
