Latest check-in and boarding: Quebec City

hi everyone, a question for Princess experts - this is a departure rather than a port of call question.

We are shortly boarding the Emerald Princess departing from Quebec City. We have friends in the area who plan to show us around on the Saturday, and we were wondering if anyone has experience of what would be the latest time to arrive at the terminal to check in and receive our keycards. Usually we are early birds when it comes to boarding.

Given that the ship is then overnighting in Quebec before leaving the next day, there isn't the same departure pressure on the Saturday but I imagine there is still a deadline in Quebec for the initial administration, processing and customs etc. for passengers

Any experienced help would be greatly appreciated.

The issue is really whether there will be staff on hand to check you in. I do know I saw some late arrivers boarding one of the RCI ships when I was down there a couple of weeks ago - I knew they were just boarding because they were hauling their own luggage. You would have to contact Princess to confirm what was the latest time you could check in.

Personally, I would have my friends drive you to the terminal early, drop off the luggage, check in, then take off for your touring. They can easily park at the dock.

This is good advice. Then you can re-board anytime that evening.
