Marina. Tahiti jan15,2014 cruise

We are taking the air on air tahiti and on the last day I heard we need to be off the ship at 9 am with a 11 pm airport departure. What have cruisers done with that extra very long day

It's been several years since we did this cruise, but we purchased a day pass to a lovely beachfront hotel, and spent the day there. Relaxed, had a great meal on the beach, napped, showered, and took a taxi to the airport in the evening.

We were on Marina in French Polynesia about six months ago and were not allowed to board in Papeete until about 6 PM because passengers from the previous leg were allowed to remain aboard for the afternoon.

 

On disembarkation day, we left about 2 PM to check in at our hotel for a post-stay. Our fellow passengers were allowed to remain aboard until 5 PM.

 

Have they changed the rules?

Tahiti Airport Motel Check in time 2 pm about $130.00 and across the street from the airport. Other place are going to run$$$$$$$$$$$$

We will be on the cruise before you. Oceania has contracted with ATN to provide 2 flights out, one at 10am and then the second at around 11pm. We're scheduled on the morning flight. I believe that those on the later flight are still allowed to stay aboard until 3pm, but they have to be out of their rooms much earler so the rooms can be prepared for the next cruise.
