Southampton shuttle to end

I have read on Freds website that the shuttle bus to the train station is to end from the end of the year. Anyone know why?

 

This means everyone will be scrambling for the taxis at the end of the cruise.

Yes, just found that out from their website.

It is some time since I used the shuttle from Southampton station to the cruise terminal but I was surprised by this news. Certainly in the past it was well used by Fred. Olsen passengers but perhaps, like me, most people now get to the port by taxi or private car.
