Georgiagolfer Posted October 28, 2013 #51 Share Posted October 28, 2013 I'm less than a month out from my 10th cruise and you know what that means: Platinum baby!! I haven't even finished the online check-in, but I was curious to see (as many have said that their 10th cruise boarding documents show it) if there was any indication that Carnival is aware of who I think I am! :D Sho'nuff - when doing a print preview of my luggage tag, a bright green PRIORITY pops up! Who can't wait for this (albeit short weekend) cruise, now?! :) Congrats on making Platinum. Welcome to the club.:D
Rare jimbo5544 Posted October 28, 2013 #52 Share Posted October 28, 2013 The same can be said of all cruise lines. Bottom line is all that matters. Let's face it, they will get their bread buttered any way they can. From a marketing perspective, they actually do prefer 1st time cruisers. We all know that as a 1st time cruiser, they are far more likely to spend more $$$ on board for drinks, excursions, pictures, etc. Just the sheer excitement of that 1st time cannot be measured. I still fondly remember our 1st cruise in 1992 on RCCL Nordic Empress, that is what hooked DW and I on cruising.:D
