Price Gap Question

Does anyone know reasons why longer world cruise segment would be significantly less than a shorter segment? Just wondering...never noticed this in previous years.

My guess would be due to sales, as in having more open staterooms for that leg that need filling. If I recall correctly the Dubai-Southampton leg on the QE in 2014 which is twenty days, was at a lower price than the leg before it which was shorter. . . The main reason I know this was because I recently added a second person onto my booking for that leg, I actually got a small refund for doing so.:eek::eek:

Simple economics of supply and demand. For the same reason it can be cheaper to fly NY - London than NY - Armadillo, Texas.
