C'mon, it's already been mentioned that it's beer geek, not snob.

Disagree. When one likes a specialty brew, they can be a "beer geek". However, when they look down upon what others like ("swill", "CRAP", etc), then they become "beer snobs".

How DARE you even suggest that OP should even be in the same BAR as the swill you offer... let alone drink it!

Ahhhh. PBR. My beer of choice for lawn-mowing. When I cannot Schlitz.

PBR on a ship would be a nice gesture but would require effort on their part.

Don't confuse beer geek with beer snob.

Pretty much this.

See above. Pretty much like you did in post #2 and the OP did in #7.

I assure you I am not confused.

Loved reading this thread as I drink a cold Ninkasi IPA. I too would like an IPA while relaxing watching the ocean go by. But until that time I will enjoy my vodka while the hubby walks around with his bucket of coors light.

The chances of an IPA are 0% however here is the beer list available on most ships, so you have Sam Adams, Bass, Becks & Guinness for a touch of flavor.

My eye is drawn to the promise of "Itinerary-Specific Special Selections".

Sounds like what I was hoping for....but does the reality fall short of the apparent hints at some variety?

Any feedback on these special offerings. Hope this is not shorthand for a bucket of the above beers

Beer snob. Beer swill drinker. Beer connoisseur. Beer nerd.

Whoever you are always remember the first rule of beer: You must drink beer on all days that end with the letter "y".

Quoting R.L.Burnside.

I only drink when I'm by myself or either with somebody.

Reality falls short.

There won't be any Samuel L. Jackson Beer either.
