Bringing wine onboard.

Bring the two bottle in your carry-on luggage, otherwise you will get a note from Security telling you that they found alcohol in your checked baggage. Then you have to open up the bag and show them that it's wine before they let you take your bag.

Oh, that's good to know. We don't want the bags delayed or to spend time sorting that out.

Thanks.

If you have two cabins, you can bring 4 bottles.

This is aimed at consuming them in the cabin though.

If you take them to a dining venue, there'll be a corkage fee of $25 (I think?)

Corkage fee is hit or miss and only seems to apply if you take your bottle and have them open in in the dining room and even that varies ship to ship and sailing to sailing. Fill your glass in your cabin and take it anywhere on the ship and you will be fine. We take a glass to dinner and have never been charged a corkage fee.

It's hit or miss if you will be charged a corkage fee. We had four bottles from two cabins on Enchantment in March and were never charged and then had three bottles on Grandeur in October and were charged in the speciality restaurants, but not in the MDR.

We go to 'gifts and gear' order the least expensive bottle of wine - have it delivered to our cabin the first day - it is there with 2 wine glasses and an opener! Voila! Solved!

Also we always order the wine package and order a bottle or two off our list and take the rest to the cabin for the next day!
