Olympics coverage on board

We will be on the Feb 9-16 Sihouette western caribbean cruise...Wondering if they will be showing any of the Winter olympics coverage on board? Any thoughts?

I don't think they will because it will be too hot in the Caribbean and the ice and snow would melt. ⛄☀🌴

They showed a lot of the coverage during the Vancouver Olympics. It was easier because things weren't in the middle of the night, but with this Olympics being in Sochi, it will be tougher, time wise.

Now that the schedule has been published for the Sochi Olympic events, has anyone heard whether there will be any coverage on Celebrity Ships?

We are cruising on Equinox during the Sochi Olympics. Does anyone have an idea how Celebrity handles broadcasts of events? We have been on a cruise during the Superbowl and there were numerous theme parties and a large broadcast set up in the main theater. I presume it would at least be on TV sets but I am wondering about anything extra around the ship.

We are going to be on the Summit during the Olympics and are wondering the same thing. We have some patriotic Canadian flags etc. ready but not sure where we will be able to watch the games. Any idea? Thanks for your comments.

Having been on two Celebrity cruises during 2 different summer Olympics, Sky TV and the BBC showed almost constant coverage.

And for what it's worth, on the Eclipse tonight they showed the Grammy's in a public area and the NFL Pro Bowl on channel 25. Here's hoping they show the Olympics, too!

They didn't have special events on board during the Vancouver Olympics, just broadcast events in the cabins and at the casino bar TV., so I doubt they'll have anything now. The difference is the Olympics are a lot of events while something like the Super Bowl is a one off event, so easier to plan a party. We'll be on board Equinox during Sochi, and hope to see hockey on board.
