algriff Posted October 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2013 We are on the NA Feb 16th, and I notice that we not only have a steel balcony railing but it also says the room has shower only. I assume you still have a vanity and a sink..am I wrong?
Alberta Quilter Posted October 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2013 No, you're not wrong. It's just that most of the staterooms have a bathtub with a shower. Your room only has a shower, no bathtub. I'm sure all staterooms come with a vanity and sink. The only room I've been in with only a shower was a HA room (we didn't need it but had booked a guarantee). I liked it but my mother, who loves her bathtub, didn't care for it. Loreto Posted October 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2013 We have had staterooms with shower only, and it has been fine...actually easier in some ways as you don't have a big step into the tub. Having a steel railing also is acceptable, It gives a snug, secure feeling to the verandah. Karen
innlady1 Posted October 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2013 All the balconies on the S class ships have steel railings and they're perfectly fine!
catl331 Posted October 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2013 All the balconies on the S class ships have steel railings and they're perfectly fine!Yes, but on those ships you can look under the wood railing (that is, between the railing and the steel) when seated. You can't on the newest six ships, and that makes a big difference.
