puka dog in Honolulu?

Is there still a Puka Dog in Honolulu at International Marketplace? Recent check of their website only shows a store in Kauai.

 

cruise will stop in Nawilli too, but I think that may be too far from the Kauai store.

It was there in 1/2012 as so is Hanks for their lobster hot dog.

Dont know the date but the International Market Place is closing. Maybe they moved out already.

No more over-priced touristy trap stuff.

I will miss it, I bought that junk.

It was a nice evening outing to see the entertainers at night.

Well it was there 3 weeks ago.

We got one, plus a tshirt :-)

 

Shame the market place is going.

 

Some bargain stuff there compared with the surrounding shops!

On my visits to Oahu, I've always found the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet to have better prices than the International Marketplace.

 

Of course they don't have the restaurants (?) that you find at the Marketplace.

I believe the International Marketplace is closing at the beginning of the year (2014).

We visited Pukadog after seeing it on an Anthony Bourdain episode a couple of years ago. I don't recall it being IN the marketplace, but rather in one of the many strips of shops in Waikiki. Will for sure have to check it out when we are out over Thanksgiving!! It was a fun box to check on the list!

You didnt miss much however as I have eaten there in the past and it really is just a hot dog.

It is no longer Puka Dog, it was bought out and is now called Hula Dog.

Hula Dog is the result of the divorce between the owners of Puka Dog. They could both have stands, but couldn't both use the name...

Our cruise will not port in Honolulu until mid-January. I understand that International Marketplace will close after first of the year. Will the Aloha Dog stand close as well? Also will Hank's Dog be affected by the closing?
